Whenever I am watching _The Curse of Oak Island_ I ask myself: If millions of dollars' worth of modern equipment, technology, excavating, and diving today are unable to locate the alleged treasure troves of the Knights Templar, Captain Kidd, and whoever else, how on earth were the original treasure-hoarders able to hide their hoards that deep, with what tools, and with what motive--only to be unable to retrieve the treasure for later use?
