After creating your latest work of art, ask yourself:
--Is it truly a new work or a repetition of an old one?
--Did you excel and exceed yourself?
--Is the work something that no other artist in your own country can create?
--Did you introduce at least one new technique in creating the work?
--Did you experience a breakthrough?
If not, then you did not progress in your journey, and are at a standstill. Your audience will say that seeing one of your works is equivalent to seeing all of your works.
You should stop, rest, temporarily change your medium (such as from painting to writing or from writing to painting), or be an audience to others for the time being.
