A horror movie is an excuse for lovers to snuggle up against each other during the screening. Most in the audience usually don't care how stupid it is.

The realization of stupidity occurs when the movie is replayed on TV.

So why don't the producers bother to make intelligent horror movies anyway? It doesn't cost much more than the entire production would have cost. All it takes is additional brainwork.
