D. broke off from a relationship two months ago. He took vacation leave from work, flew to Manila, and took an Uber car to my house. I gave him a paperback and a hardshell wallet. Wanted to give him other stuff as well but he was traveling light.
We had lunch at home and afterward went to my granddaughters' favorite coffee shop to, naturally, gather more stickers to boost their planner cards. Also naturally, we had holiday drinks, per their instruction, because they don't like the holiday drinks and have great difficulty gathering stickers for those.
Spent a few more hundreds because D. pointed out an atypical mug with a figural fox or Siberian huskie that I immediately liked. I bought it for our mug collection but am pretending it's a wolf.
D. then proceeded to the bus terminal to go to Baguio City, where he is spending two days and two nights.
When I was young, I loved traveling alone like that, but never because I broke off from any relationship.
D. is still finding it hard to accept the loss of someone he'd been loving for two years.
Moi: Hindi ako maka-relate. Hinding-hindi ko pinroblema ang ibang tao nang ganyan kailanman.
