I will never forget Nick Pamperin, who was a USVA officer through my retirement in 2015. Nick is the only person I know who traveled to Transylvania, visited the castle of Vlad the Impaler, and explored far-flung areas that still look like the settings of vampire movies.

Nick is also a member of a Medieval Festival group. He has an expensive costume and attends medieval festivals whenever they are held in the U.S.
